'A sure bet for steady work in the legal field, during an economic upturn, would be bankruptcy law, since many are likely to struggle with debt during these times and need an attorney to help them make their way through it if they end up facing a bankruptcy. Such attorneys aim to minimize loss for their clients. Such clients include either individuals or corporate debtors, individual or corporate creditors, creditor teams, and so forth. Often such clients are only available to meet on weekends and evenings. As bankruptcy laws are complex, such lawyers must be able to calmly advise their clients of their options. If they are working with creditors, they will strategize how to exact as much money from a debtor as possible. With an average salary rate of $113,000, this is a decent paying job for a lawyer.

Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate

The candidate must have 2-5 years of experience representing debtors and creditors in all areas of corporate restructurings, workouts, distressed asset and debt acquisitions, and insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. Large firm experience preferred. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.

Business Law - Debt Finance Associate

The candidate will work on representing lenders in all aspects of various secured and unsecured lending transactions, arrangers and private equity firms in syndicated loan financings of leveraged buyouts, mezzanine. Will work on second lien financings, public and private high-yield debt, and generally supporting the corporate, finance and M&A practices. Should have a JD Degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 4-6 years of corporate associate, specializing in debt finance. Prior real estate finance experience is preferred.

Bankruptcy Associate

The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in large transactions in various stages of bankruptcy proceedings with an understanding of accounting and financial issues that affect restructuring transactions.

Seeking a Junior Bankruptcy Associate with 2-3 years pf substantive experience in Chapter 11 cases on behalf of major parties in interest. Experience in both the creditor and debtor sides is a plus. Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.

Bankruptcy / Restructuring Associate

The candidate must have 2 years of financial restructuring experience. Should also have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.'
