What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I feel they should have an advancement period and reward the good employees who put in effort to help keep a constant group. It would also be imperative to help out and develop the company more and address the culture.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The firm is very advanced as far as technology goes and they are always willing to try and improve the ways you work for the better. As far as a technological stand point, they use the top of the line programs and software which will really help you become more efficient.
What did you not like about this institution?
The firm seems to not really care much for their employees and it has a large turnover of employees throughout the firm. The salary is quite a bit lower than other firms', which does not help to keep the employees happy or offer any incentive to stay for a long period of time. The culture and development of the firm isn't great and seems to be one of the low items on the totem pole to address.

Not sure I have any. Everything is the way they want it- it suits their goals of hobnobbing with San Francisco society without being subject to the rigors of peer review.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
There isn't a lot you could do that would get you fired. Work, and hours, are not plentiful, but nobody seems to mind too much. The firm is basically the philanthropy of the named partners.
What did you not like about this institution?
Very insular, almost alien people. They've been together for a long time, and are used to and tolerate each other's quirks, some of which would be fatal in any other environment. They have no idea what constitutes good lawyering or business relations, and aren't especially concerned about it. If you're interested in participating in a viable business, this isn't it (though they'll happily make you a partner, which basically comes with no perks and subjects you to their liability).

There are a few who have chips on their shoulders about the lower status of the firm, a few that couldn't care less about anything (though they may shine you on), and a few with blatant psychological disorders. Take your pick.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Showing up and doing your job in an elegant manner is simply not required. Take the day off, go to a baseball game. The results will be the same.
