What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Take the hint you are the problem.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Receptionist knew it would be hell and helped me stay sane.

What did you not like about this institution?
Almost convinced me not to pursue law or entertainment. I worked for him after undergrad in hopes of securing a recommendation letter to boost my law school application. It’s taken me 15 minutes to figure out where to even start. This man is nothing and means nothing to the world of entertainment law. Most of his practice is trying to collect money from clients who rightfully don’t want to pay for the subpar representation he called himself providing. He hasn’t even been able to update his website since I worked for him over 10 years ago because he has nothing to offer the industry. You will learn nothing and you will meet no one and he won’t lift a finger to help you and you’ll leave every day wondering if you’re the problem. The tasks were demeaning, unethical and inappropriate to ask of an employee (getting his prescription testosterone cream, arranging 3am taxis, repeatedly calling his nieces who want nothing to do with him) and ultimately have zero to do with a professional career or any transferable skills. At least one intern even sued him for his abusive behavior. The California bar should be ashamed to have him as a member.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
The other former interns trauma bonding.
