They are very accommodating with time off, flexing time when needed, covering work while you are out. Lots of taking the stress off the employee, which is very much appreciated. The salary is very good for suburban NJ.ConsMany employees just complain. The firm may improve by giving its employees some more time off and better benefits. While the compensation package is solid, it could be improved to account for the long hours that are required.
This is a firm with an outstanding reputation for getting things done. That is why they can charge top dollar to their clients. As a result, if you make partner, you have a chance to do very well.
You can kiss your social life goodbye at this firm. You will be working in the office many weekends, if not all. You will be expected to bill as much as your colleagues if not more.

Lerner David's summer associate program is open to students completing their second year of law school. Because patent law plays a central role in our practice, applicants must have an undergraduate degree in science or engineering, or have sufficient credits in technical disciplines to obtain admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. We are committed to finding motivated and talented individuals who can grow and develop into our future partners.We ask our summer associates to spend 10 weeks with us beginning in June and ending in early August. Summer associates are offered a wide variety of work projects and enjoy an informal and collegial work atmosphere. Our firm's continued success depends upon our ability to hire and develop top legal talent. To that end, we are committed to providing our summer associates with excellent training and exposure to a variety of matters.
