What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
If you have a good attitude, you don't minds working hard, you understand people can be mean or grumpy anywhere at any time and are willing to take that on occasion, then you'll do great. Learn as much as you can at work, there is so much to learn!
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Challenging place to work but rewarding. Best part of the job was engaging people in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. Good mixture of young and mature workers. Managers are very flexible with schedules. There are plenty of opportunities for career advancement. Pay and perks are good at this Law Firm.
What did you not like about this institution?
The work is certainly good, and the people are nice, but they don't appreciate you being "ambitious" and they don't want you to ask for more work unless you take the first step.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
There should be more transparency in how pay is determined - people should feel like their efforts are being rewarded. Take more time to listen to employee concerns and complaints - there are some departments that are basically designed for just this reason that don't do a good enough job.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Benefits are solid. Most people are pleasant to work with and you are treated well around the office - office parties are great. Support staff seems to be dedicated. Work-life balance is decent, and the work itself is somewhat diverse, though you do work quite hard at times.
What did you not like about this institution?
Certain levels of middle management do not seem to understand employee problems well; some people in HR have a similar issue. Pay seems to range a lot when comparing certain positions that should have similar pay grades - you might be unpleasantly surprised to learn what some other people make compared to you.
