Good Atmosphere, but Inconsistent and Churning Supporting Staff on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Current Employee

Advice to law firm management:
Work on retaining quality support staff. They make up the foundation of the organization, in a lot of ways, when these types of personnel are constantly changing. It makes those with more seniority and power less confident in their judgement and skill, which reduces productivity all around.

Pros:
The atmosphere at the firm strikes a good balance between being professional and between being friendly and welcoming. Benefits are good, and the salary is acceptable, considering the local cost of living.

Cons:
A small handful of partners can be difficult to get along with when they are quite busy. More importantly, there is quite a bit of turnover in some support staff areas. Time and money has to be wasted in order to bring people up to speed, and some staff members are simply not motivated to give their full efforts.
