Advice to law firm management:
The firm should improve its diversity rating. The firm should also tone down its expectations of associates, as they seem unrealistic. Many associates are new to the practice of law and will need a few years to establish themselves.

Pros:
You will become a natural at picking up much of the nuances of business law. This is no small feat. At Frommer Lawrence, you are expected to become an expert, so you will become one.

Cons:
The firm expects perfection from you. Do not make errors. This means you will need to show up for late, after-hours sessions at the office, no matter what.

Pros:
The attorneys and support staff are, with a few exceptions, very nice to work with. This is the only reason for the second star.

Cons:
The management, which includes managing partners, have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They're bleeding talent because of it. They want associates to believe that they're the top of the heap and competitive with big law, when clearly they're not. Their compensation doesn't even match the Cravath scale and their benefits don't make up for it. After 3rd year they also go Black Box with their compensation model. They work people into the ground and then drop them with no logical explanation, which is probably why so many people are making a lateral move to other firms. The management believes they're all hotshots, yet they clearly lied to associates about the firm's financial health in 2020 to try and retain people. Just look at all of the recent people on LinkedIn who've left the firm. This is unusual for a place this size. Maybe it's because they started forcing their workers back into the office in NYC during summer 2020 when COVID was still a huge threat to everyone's safety.. and one of their own partners died from it! Overall, the management here is disrespectful, dishonest, and way out of their lane. I highly recommend that others avoid taking a job here.
