Law Firm Seeking Senior Data Scientist with Competitive Salary and Comprehensive Benefits Package

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Information Technology team and contribute to our firm's strategy, delivery of legal services, and operations using data science tools and techniques.

As a Senior Data Scientist at MoFo, you will work closely with the Director of Data Science Analytics to lead the data science function for the firm. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and utilizing the firm's data, data integrations, and data science tools to produce business insights and support project initiatives. You will also collaborate with other departments, such as Information Governance and Security, to ensure alignment with data validity, use, privacy, and security. Additionally, you will work with our technology teams to identify, implement, and maintain relevant technologies and data artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and utilize the firm's data, data integrations, and data science tools to produce business insights and support project initiatives
- Build, maintain and enhance the firm's information resources, including the firm's master data model and data storage infrastructure
- Work with the firm's Information Governance and Security teams to ensure alignment with data validity, use, privacy, and security
- Collaborate with the firm's technology teams to identify, implement, and maintain relevant technologies and data artifacts
- Develop predictive/explanatory models, exploratory data applications, and rapid prototypes for a wide variety of use cases and functions
- Present results to key stakeholders and turn them into production applications when appropriate

Requirements:

- Relevant master's degree in a related field preferred
- At least 5 years of experience applying data science in one or more industries
- Hands-on expertise with data management tools and methods, including Python, R, and T-SQL
- Experience with Azure Cognitive Services, AWS, Tableau, Power BI, and Posit Workbench/Posit Connect is a plus
- Technical experience conceiving, building, and launching decision support tools is helpful
- Experience with machine learning and AI is a plus
- Reputation as a thought leader in the data science/machine learning/Artificial Intelligence community is a plus
- Experience working in the legal profession, with a strong peer and vendor network

- New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $120k to $168k
- Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, . salary range: $112k to $168k
