Law Firm Seeks Litigation Paralegal in Hartford – Salary $55,000-$70,000

Job Description:

- Seeking energetic and detail-oriented candidate for full-time paralegal position in Hartford office
- Diversified insurance defense litigation practice with offices throughout New England and New York

- Responsible for reviewing documents, preparing for trial, and assisting with litigation process
- Conduct research and file pleadings, motions, and other documents

Responsibilities:

- Review high volume of documents and assist with document productions and discovery
- Prepare for trial by producing, compiling, organizing, and indexing evidentiary exhibits
- Mark and identify trial exhibits and draft list of exhibits for trial
- Create medical chronologies, narrative summaries, charts, tables, and other visual aids for motion hearings and trials
- Support attorneys with litigation process
- Conduct research and gather information using legal research tools
- File pleadings, motions, and other documents

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Trial experience in state and federal courts
- Experience with eDiscovery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of legal terminology and civil rules and procedures
- Desire to succeed, learn, and continue to develop relevant experience on the job
