Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Law Attorney for a hybrid-remote position based in Las Vegas, NV. The role will involve managing family legal matters from inception to resolution with a focus on divorce, custody, support, emancipation, and guardianship cases. The ideal candidate will work remotely with occasional in-person court appearances and client meetings. The position offers a client-centered approach with support from a paralegal and staff.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage family legal matters, including divorce, custody, support, emancipation, and guardianship from start to finish.
  • Communicate with clients via email, calls, and the Clio portal.
  • Monitor family mediation sessions and conduct settlement conferences.
  • Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other necessary legal documents.
  • Organize and record all required official documents for filing.
  • Represent clients at hearings and trials, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Keep clients updated on case status and maintain a high level of communication throughout.
  • Assist in the division of marital assets during divorce proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Nevada (active, in good standing).
  • 3-5 years of experience in handling family law cases, specifically divorce and custody.
  • Criminal law experience is a plus, though not required.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with a team of staff.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.
