Armstrong Teasdale, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Associate with expertise in patent prosecution for software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical fields. This position is available in multiple offices across the country, including Chicago, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Kansas City, and St. Louis. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, with a preference for a Bachelor's or higher in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science. They must also be licensed to practice law in one or more jurisdictions and registered to practice before the USPTO.

Our patent attorneys at Armstrong Teasdale work closely with clients to prepare and prosecute patent applications, provide patentability and clearance opinions, manage patent estates, and handle licensing and enforcement matters. The IP Associate will have the opportunity to learn from and work closely with experienced patent practitioners in a friendly and cooperative environment. They will also have the chance to generate business through group and individual efforts.

The IP Associate must have at least 2 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm. They will have indirect supervisory responsibilities, utilizing support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction. Some travel may be required, but it will be less than 10% of the time.

Salary ranges for this position are fluid and depend on factors such as experience, areas of expertise, and licenses. The ranges for each location are as follows:

- Chicago: $190,000-$250,000
- New York: $190,000-$250,000
- Denver: $180,000-$250,000
- Philadelphia: $180,000-$250,000
- Kansas City: $170,000-$220,000
- St. Louis: $170,000-$220,000
