Job Summary:

The GES Tax Manager will play a critical role in providing expertise and solutions for clients in areas such as remote working analysis, tax consulting and compliance, global equity tracking, assignment planning, and social security. This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, handling questions and concerns, and delivering excellent service to expatriate employees of corporate clients. The role also includes review and sign-off on expatriate and foreign national inbound US income tax returns, as well as developing and reviewing tax equalization and global mobility policies.

Responsibilities:

- Interact directly with clients, managing expectations and delivery of services to expatriate employees
- Review and sign simple to complex expatriate and foreign national inbound US income tax returns, tax equalizations, and other miscellaneous tax forms
- Develop and review tax equalization and global mobility policies
- Review international assignment-related calculations such as tax cost projections, hypothetical tax calculations, payroll and compensation calculations
- May have Performance Advisor responsibilities, including mentoring and coaching staff and managing resource allocation and workflow
- Monitor and manage the billing process
- Stay alert to client needs that may result in growth opportunities for the firm

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study
- CPA, EA, or JD required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a public accounting environment
- Working knowledge of foreign jurisdictions' individual income tax rules
- Familiarity with transfer pricing principles, intercompany cost charging, and accounting for hypothetical tax
- Comprehensive understanding of tax law/rules and implications
- Working knowledge of common human resources considerations in a global mobility program
- Experience preparing and reviewing international individual income tax returns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimal travel required (up to 5%)
- Hybrid remote work arrangement available

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in taxation (MST, MBA, or LLM)
- Recent international tax experience with a national or regional public accounting firm
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing, income tax treaties, and foreign tax regimes
