Job Title: Tax Senior Associate - Private Company
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex Partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, individual, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Conduct detailed review and analysis of tax returns.
- Perform, document, and summarize research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff and intern-level team members.
- Interact directly with clients to handle questions, planning, and concerns.
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required, which varies based on location, line of business, and client need.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in public accounting with a focus on taxation is necessary.
- Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA, or have a licensed JD.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns is essential.
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance is required.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary, along with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation, or MBA is preferred.
- An active CPA, JD/LLM, or EA is an advantage.
- Experience with private client or business taxation is beneficial, with a desire to grow skills in the Private Company arena.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation are required, and industry specialization is a plus.
Salary Information:
- The compensation range for this role is $122,300 - $245,900.
- Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
