Bressler, Amery & Ross, a leading law firm in New Jersey, is currently seeking an associate attorney to join our esteemed insurance regulatory practice group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with growth companies in highly regulated industries, including M&A, commercial transactions, and healthcare plans. The role will involve a mix of transactional work and regulatory compliance, making it a diverse and challenging position for the right candidate.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years' legal and/or compliance experience in property/casualty, life/health insurance regulatory matters
- Familiarity with counseling insurance companies, health plans, and other healthcare organizations in commercial transactions and developing new products
- Experience with state or federal insurance and/or healthcare regulators
- Admission to the New York and New Jersey state bars

Responsibilities:

- Representing clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
- Conducting market conduct examinations and financial examinations
- Advising on compliance with state laws and regulations
- Drafting policies, procedures, and contracts to ensure compliance
- Assisting with joint ventures and M&A transactions
- Litigating disputes related to health benefits

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient in legal research
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers and partners
