Associate Attorney The candidate will assist in the representation of clients and also to provide leadership to the firm s staff of Legal Assistants. Will work under the supervision of the Principal Attorney and is responsible for case management and ensuring that deadlines are met. Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients. Research applicable laws and regulations and draft legal memoranda. Represent individuals in removal proceedings and before Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Manage a heavy workload of cases. Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense, family and employment based immigration petitions and applications. Review immigration petitions / applications and make any necessary adjustments. Meet with potential clients for immigration consultations and determine appropriate strategies. Assist in the development of strategy and prepare clients for proceedings and to give testimony. Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits. Draft legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases. Possesses strong knowledge and procedural requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Demonstrates a high level of productivity and ability to multitask in a fast-paced professional environment with competing demands, while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to provide effective and meaningful support to clients under the supervision of an Attorney required. Ability to manage a heavy workload required. Experience in drafting RFEs and drafting and filing large volumes of immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, including PERMs required. A JD or LLM from an ABA Approved Law School with 2 years of immigration law experience required. Bilingual or multilingual applicants are preferred.
