Job Title: Tax Senior – Financial Services – Mutual Fund Tax (East Region City Locations)
Experience: 3+ years of experience in tax planning or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
Salary Range: $63,420 to $144,300 (depending on factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications)
Location: Multiple locations (22 cities)
Position Summary:
- Seeking a Tax Senior with a passion for financial products and strong understanding of regulated investment companies, Subchapter M, section 4982 excise calculations, and tax compliance.
- Opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be a part of an engagement team.
- Responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients.
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for various entities and their affiliates.
- Perform detail-level reviews of tax research, regulated investment company (RIC) tax work papers, financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures, federal and state returns, excise calculations, and RIC compliance tests.
- Perform tax planning, supervise tax consultants, and attend required **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and sector-specific training.

- Global leaders in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry.
- US tax industry group consists of over 1,400 partners, principals, and employees.
- Provide a spectrum of tax services to a broad range of Investment Management companies.
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry such as hedge funds, private equity, investment partnerships, alternative products, family offices, mutual funds, broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies, and other investment managers.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to work within a hybrid model that requires co-location in person 2-3 days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- Basic understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work and clients/industries served.
- One of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
