Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Financial Services - Mutual Fund (East Region City Locations)
Experience: 8+ years in tax planning or preparing/reviewing tax returns
Salary: $119,490 to $272,090 (may vary based on skills, experience, and location)
Position Summary:
- Seeking a leader with a passion for financial products and expertise in regulated investment companies, Subchapter M, and tax compliance
- Responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients
- Manage day-to-day accounts, conduct tax research, and work on RIC tax work papers, financial statements, and federal/state returns
- Motivate, mentor, supervise, and train Tax Consultants and Seniors
- Lead client contact roles, participate in sales and marketing activities, and attend required training
- Must be able to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week

Qualifications:
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in tax planning or preparing/reviewing tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Advanced understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments for regulated investment companies
- Strong managerial experience with budgets, people, and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team environment
- Active CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP certification
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM)
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
