Managing Consultant, Climate Change Project Manager (Senior Level) is a full-time position offered by ERM, a leading global sustainability consultancy. The company is seeking a qualified candidate to join their corporate sustainability and climate change advisory services practice in various locations across North America.

Job Title:
- Managing Consultant, Climate Change Project Manager (Senior Level)

Salary:
- Annual base pay of $99,589 - $112,648 USD
- Pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in policy, law, economics, engineering, or basic/applied science (such as physics, chemistry, material sciences, environmental science, earth sciences, etc.)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a related field, such as consultancy, private sector (power, natural gas, hydrogen, etc.), or environmental policy

Location:
- Multiple locations across North America, including New Orleans, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Houston, Texas; Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; and Richmond, VA

Job Summary:
- Key contributor to a team developing and growing ERM's corporate sustainability and climate change business.
- Responsible for managing clients and projects, including advising and managing climate-related projects, building strong relationships with clients, and thinking strategically to influence decision-making.
- Demonstrates strong project management skills and analytical skills, as well as excellent writing and presentation abilities.
- Mentors junior staff and manages a team of two to five consultants.
- Collaborates internally to bring services to existing clients and enhances ERM's capability to support sales and delivery of Climate Change services.

Responsibilities:
- Managing Clients and Projects
- Evaluating oil and gas, chemical, and/or manufacturing processes to evaluate GHG emissions.
- Advising and managing climate-related projects, such as designing and developing GHG inventories and conducting strategic policy assessment and design.
- Supporting development of climate change strategy, action planning, and/or modeling.
- Building strong and trusted relationships with clients and/or business partners.
- Thinking strategically to influence decision-makers and outcomes.
- Demonstrating strong project management skills and oversight through the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrating strong analytical skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, and mastery of impactful client communication.

- Teamwork and Organization
- Demonstrating strong people management skills, particularly the ability to support, coach, and celebrate others.
- Mentoring junior staff in project planning and execution.
- Managing a team of two to five junior consultants.
- Identifying, evaluating, cultivating, and managing partnerships and relationships with senior clients, external stakeholders, and key opinion leaders.
- Collaborating internally to bring services to existing clients.
- Enhancing ERM's capability to support sales and delivery of Climate Change services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in policy, law, economics, engineering, or basic/applied science.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a related field.
- Strong technical writing and Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Thorough understanding of technical, economic, policy, and market challenges and opportunities associated with the low carbon energy transition.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
- Structured and effective communicator.
- Enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, and a desire to work in a growing team.
