Duties:

  • Advocate on behalf of clients in family law proceedings such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and asset distribution

  • Prepare legal pleadings, discovery materials, motions, settlement agreements, and related documents

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and remain informed about statutory changes and case law in domestic relations

  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials, effectively presenting arguments and negotiating settlements

  • Provide empathetic legal counsel to clients navigating sensitive and personal matters

  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff for effective case handling

  • Engage in business development and networking efforts to grow client base as needed

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar

  • Experience handling family law matters

  • Demonstrated litigation experience in domestic relations cases

  • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain composure under pressure

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and client service skills

  • A solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Wisconsin

Skills:

  • Proficiency in family law practice and courtroom procedure

  • Familiarity with case management tools and legal research platforms

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills

  • Organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
