Overview:
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government worldwide, is seeking a Legal Administrative Coordinator (LAC) to support the Litigation/Labor and Employment Practice Groups. This position will provide administrative, secretarial, and document processing support under the guidance of the Administrative Support Manager. The firm emphasizes and practices superior client service, making an in-office presence important for delivering their services through an integrated and collaborative work culture. The LAC will be required to work in the office three days a week, unless client demands or other approved accommodations by their practice group require them to be elsewhere.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Utilize Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) to receive, enter, and update assignments; communicate timely with supervisor(s) and proactively seek guidance when needed
- Assist with word processing, editing, and proofreading of correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other general communications
- Answer phones, schedule appointments and meetings, arrange audio and video conferences, reserve conference rooms, and set up as needed
- Manage attorney calendar, update address book and InterAction entries
- Assist with time entry
- Process new business intake, related forms, and correspondence
- Process expense reports and invoices, arrange check requests, and monitor completion
- Arrange travel and prepare itineraries, maintain attorney travel and desk profiles
- Coordinate or assist with printing, scanning, copying, and sending of documents
- Provide legal research, case support, and project assistance
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous law firm experience required
- Litigation experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Exhibits strategic thinking and initiative in handling assignments and projects
- Excellent communication skills with clients
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Salary Information:
- Salary range for this position in Century City is $69, - $90,
- Final salary offered will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors
- Total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered
- Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided upon offer of employment
- Employee will be in an "at-will" position, and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary payments at any time, including for performance, department/team performance, and market factors
