Responsibilities:

- Lead negotiations and provide legal counsel for routine, moderate, and complex Business Development transactions.
- Advise on legal rights and obligations under executed agreements.
- Resolve disputes and negotiate new agreements with existing collaborators.
- Assist with structuring and advising on various transactions to advance the company's strategy.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts in a timely manner.
- Identify and resolve critical legal and business issues arising from transactions.
- Collaborate with other practice areas and subject matter experts within the company.
- Demonstrate a service-oriented approach to advising internal clients.

Qualifications/Competencies:

- Law degree from a recognized university and qualification to practice law in New Jersey.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience.
- Experience drafting and negotiating Business Development agreements in the bio/pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Understanding of the healthcare industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage internal client expectations.
- Creative, thoughtful, and practical problem-solving skills.
- High integrity and ability to assess risk and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and effectively towards objectives.
- Preference for candidates with a strong scientific background and experience supporting Alliance Management and drafting complex agreements.

Salary Information:

- Starting compensation range of $225,000 - $260,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities.
- Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
