Commercial and Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will assist in preparing for real estate closings for lenders, sellers, and purchasers. Order and review title insurance commitments and title policies. Order and review surveys and work with surveyors. Order and review UCC-11 searches. Property research. Electronic recordation and filing of documents. Prepare deeds, mortgages, mortgage releases, UCC filings, easement releases. Review closing documents, property records, and maps. Obtain zoning letters and code violation letters. Obtain approval of property splits and legal descriptions. Assemble closing checklists, packages and prepare closing binders. Assist with drafting certain real estate documents related to estate planning. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 3+ years working as a real estate paralegal. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program or equivalent experience is required. knowledge of real estate proceedings and transactions is required. Knowledge of online auditor and recorder databases, including public record filings, mapping, and GIS systems. Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are essential. Superior organization and attention to detail. Must have the ability to prioritize work while remaining deadline-focused.
