The Law Firm of **** is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Toxic Tort team in New York / New Jersey. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $55,000-$90,000 per year.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will work closely with handling attorneys and take ownership of files, completing all necessary litigation functions from pleadings to trial preparation. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases in a collaborative, team environment with a well-established, growing organization. The position will be based in our New York office, with a mix of in-office and remote work options available.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with handling attorneys to complete all necessary litigation functions
- Take ownership of files and maintain organization throughout the legal process
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Communicate with senior level individuals both internally and externally
- Retain experts and coordinate their reports and appearances
- Prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Maintain confidentiality and follow instructions effectively

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a civil litigation setting
- Prior experience with toxic tort (asbestos) cases
- Familiarity with NY or NJ legal procedures, including filing with state and federal courts
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft products and electronic court filing systems
- Paralegal degree preferred, but not required
