Summary:

RSM, a leading provider of professional services, is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for their Global Information Reporting practice at Washington National Tax. This role will be based in one of their West Coast locations (Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Irvine, or San Diego) and will require full-time availability. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in tax information reporting and withholding, preferably in a Big 4 firm, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. They must also possess an active CPA, EA, or JD with State Bar.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage projects related to Global Information Reporting, including advisory and compliance projects.
- Consult with internal and external clients on . back-up, nonresident alien, FATCA, and CRS reporting and withholding requirements.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to reporting and withholding requirements and draft thought leadership on their impact.
- Review tax information returns prepared by staff, including Forms 1042, 1042-S, 1099, and FATCA and CRS reports.
- Support RSM teams and member firms nationally on GIR projects and develop service offerings.
- Drive growth and profitability for the GIR practice by generating revenue and sales, identifying leads and developing relationships, and responding to RFPs and proposals.
- Lead practice development activities and formulate marketing and growth strategies.
- Manage and mentor staff and managers, execute performance reviews, and serve as a performance advisor.
- Establish steps, responsibilities, and timelines for GIR projects and compliance efforts.
- Conduct research and draft or review tax memorandums, tax protests, and other correspondence regarding tax information reporting and withholding issues.
- Lead internal training sessions and client educational workshops on FATCA, CRS, and other related topics.
- Review research findings and ensure consistency with firm policies and professional standards.
- Build relationships across lines of business to ensure excellent client service.
- Travel is required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
- Active CPA, EA, or JD with State Bar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax information reporting and withholding in a corporate, public accounting, or law firm environment (Big 4 experience preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing tax professionals.
- Strong knowledge of IRC Chapters 3, 4, and 61.
- Experience with handling IRS exams and consulting on related tax compliance, including preparation of Forms 1042, 1042-S, and FATCA reports.
- Proven ability to generate and manage revenue and oversee deals.
- Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (15%).

Compensation:

- Salary range: $145,600 - $292,600.
- Bonus eligibility based on firm and individual performance.
