Job Description:

Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team in one of their Pennsylvania offices. This role will involve providing tax and business advisory services to small business clients, as well as managing and building client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, a CPA or JD, and at least 5 years of experience in federal and state tax compliance and advisory services in a professional services firm.

Responsibilities:

- Provide tax, accounting, and advisory services to small business clients
- Oversee and review accounting records and financials with clients
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients
- Lead and plan client engagements
- Identify opportunities for business and process improvements
- Manage and build client relationships
- Delegate and oversee work efforts of team members
- Stay current with tax laws and practices
- Network and build relationships internally and externally
- Invest in professional development and support team members' growth
- Maintain work-life balance through team outings and social activities

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, master's or advanced degree preferred
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and advisory services
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong management, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and tax preparation software
- Eligibility to work in the . without sponsorship preferred
- Experience with Quickbooks, Sage, or other accounting software desirable
- Ability to travel to client sites occasionally
