Law Firm Seeking Litigation Attorney
The Law Firm is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. We specialize in municipal law, labor and employment law, and general commercial/business litigation. The ideal candidate will have first-chair experience and a strong interest in litigation. They must also possess exceptional academic, research, writing, and interpersonal skills. This position requires travel within the State of Michigan and candidates must be members of the State Bar of Michigan in good standing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle client litigation matters
- Act as lead counsel in any litigation matter
- File complaints or answers
- Conduct motion practice
- Conduct discovery
- Negotiate towards settlement
- Act as first chair in any motion or trial
- Handle appeals that may result
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation practice
- Demonstrated interest in litigation
- Strong academic background
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel within the State of Michigan
