This program offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in public interest law while being compensated in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of low-income individuals and marginalized communities.

Position Details:
- Position Title: 2025 Summer Associate
- Geographic Locations: Ohio (choose 3)
- Practice Areas of Law: Medical-Legal Partnerships (choose 3)
- Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Duration: 10 weeks (May 19, 2025 to July 25, 2025)
- Compensation: Paid salary, additional funding/grant opportunities, and reimbursement for program-related travel

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and writing assignments
- Work closely with advocates in chosen practice group
- Receive training on poverty law basics
- Gain additional knowledge through court observation and meetings with local attorneys and judges
- Mentorship from experienced attorneys to excel in a public interest law career
- Directly engage with clients in the communities we serve

Requirements:
- Applicants must have a passion for public service and a commitment to meeting program requirements
- Cover letter, resume, and list of three professional references must be submitted at ****careers-with-able/
- Cover letter should indicate preference for hybrid or in-person work, preferred office location, and top 2 interests for legal practice areas and reasons for choosing them
- Cover letter should also include any volunteer or public interest work experience, and interest in serving low-income and marginalized families and communities
- Cover letter should be less than two pages and must include all requested information

Compensation:
- Paid salary for full-time work (35 hours per week)
- Additional information will be provided at the interview stage
- ABLE will provide necessary documentation for applicants who secure additional funding or grants
- Reimbursement for program-related travel is available
