Salary Information:
- McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Counsel
- Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Counsel
Overview:
- Seeking an attorney to provide marketing advice and counsel to Card Partnerships business
- Responsible for reviewing customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address risks and resolve issues
- Regular interactions with senior business partners, Legal Department subject matter experts, and other business attorneys
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with marketing **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s consumer and small business credit card business
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws for account acquisitions and servicing
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop solutions and address risks
- Regularly interact with senior business partners and Legal Department subject matter experts
- Review customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
- 3+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
- Expertise in consumer financial regulatory laws, marketing and advertising laws, privacy laws, UDAAP, and risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
- Experience with consumer regulatory laws, credit card programs, or financial services
- Understanding of Regulation Z, UDAAP, FCRA, and other consumer financial laws and privacy laws
- Ability to identify and assess legal risks presented by a complex business model
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Growth mindset and ownership mentality
Salary Information:
- Minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries listed by location
- Part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed upon number of hours
- Eligible for performance based incentive compensation
