The Law Firm of Morgan Lewis is currently seeking a junior or midlevel associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Energy & Project Development practice group. This position is available at our offices in Boston, Chicago, Houston, New York, or Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have transactional experience, preferably in the areas of energy and/or infrastructure, project development, finance, and/or M&A. The successful candidate must also be an active member of the bar in the state of the Morgan Lewis office for which they are applying. The Role:

As a junior or midlevel associate in our Energy & Project Development practice group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex and cutting-edge matters. You will be responsible for providing legal counsel to clients on a wide range of issues related to energy and project development, including financing, mergers and acquisitions, and project management. You will also have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced attorneys and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel to clients on energy and project development matters.
- Assist with drafting and negotiating transactional documents.
- Conduct research and analysis on relevant legal issues.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and goals.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to provide comprehensive and effective legal solutions.

Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience in a large law firm.
- Transactional experience in energy and/or infrastructure, project development, finance, and/or M&A.
- Active member of the bar in the state of the Morgan Lewis office for which you are applying.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation:

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may include a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility and various paid-time-off benefits, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. Please note that the firm reserves the right to modify the base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

For positions in New York and/or Washington, DC, the salary wage range is $225,000 to $365,000. However, the final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on individual circumstances and other factors.
