Job Title: Research Services Manager - Law Firm (Multiple Offices)
Salary: $95,000-$140,000 per year (based on qualifications and experience)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role at a law firm or professional services environment

Summary:

The Law Firm is seeking a Research Services Manager for their Colorado, Utah, or North Carolina offices. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week. The Research Services Manager will provide both legal and non-legal research and analysis in support of the firm's strategic priorities under the leadership of the Director of Research Services & Competitive Intelligence. The position requires a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at a law firm or professional services environment. The salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $140,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Research Services and Business Development teams to support attorney and client research needs
- Manage office resources and provision of services
- Conduct legal and non-legal research and analysis for attorneys, clients, and staff
- Monitor legislation, litigation, and patent activity for client interests
- Provide training for attorneys, paralegals, and staff on research platforms
- Develop and promote a knowledge management culture
- Manage additional research and organizational functions as assigned

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Library and Information Studies from an ALA accredited graduate program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at a law firm or professional services environment
- Knowledge of research resources commonly used in large law firms
- Understanding of the broad areas of law practiced by a full-service firm
- Ability to learn and adapt to new skills and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organization, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally

Salary Information and Benefits for Colorado Applicants:

For Colorado applicants, the annual compensation range for this position in the Chicago office is between $95,000 and $140,000. The position is considered full-time and eligible for employer-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, elective/voluntary life, disability, and accident coverage. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the firm's 401k plan.
