Position: Deputy Prosecutor - Child Support Division

Salary: $70,000 minimum starting salary

Essential Job Functions:

- Managing a large caseload, covering the full range of establishment, modification, and enforcement functions.
- Mastering important related subjects, including administrative law, bankruptcy, liens, probate, contract, forfeiture, and interstate laws.
- Drafting special pleadings and documents.
- Mastering the application of the Indiana Child Support Guidelines.
- Understanding applicable rules, laws, and guidelines.
- Mastering the statewide child support computer system.
- Participating in community events or meetings to educate the public on the role of the Child Support Division.

Agency Expectations:

- Follow the Marion County Prosecutor’s personnel policies.
- Maintain respectful and professional behavior and communication.
- Complete work assignments and communicate with participants and IV-D agencies in a timely manner.
- Attend training as directed.

Education and Experience:

- . Degree from an accredited law school and a member of good standing of the Indiana bar.
- Admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana or secure admission within 60 days of accepting the position.
- Demonstrated commitment to public service and a strong academic record.
- Commitment to fairness and a strong work ethic.
- Prior work experience in family law is preferred.
