Assistant County Attorney II Job Opportunity in Boulder, CO
Boulder County, a fully inclusive and anti-racist organization, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant County Attorney II to join their legal team. This is a full-time, remote employment opportunity with flexible/hybrid options, offering a competitive salary range of $112,308 - $161,700 annually.
The Assistant County Attorney II will primarily work in the following three legal practice areas:
- Employment law: providing ongoing legal advice to Human Resources and addressing issues related to employee discipline
- Property tax appeals: advising the County Assessor and the Board of Equalization, handling hearings, arbitrations, and occasional litigation
- Zoning enforcement: providing ongoing advice to the zoning enforcement team, drafting letters and complaints, and litigating cases
In addition to these areas, there is a unique opportunity for interested applicants to be involved with the County's equity legal work, which focuses on evaluating programs and projects for compliance with federal and state law and helping clients meet the County's equity goals.
To be considered for this position, applicants must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and have a minimum of two years' experience as a practicing attorney. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment. Dedication to public service and a commitment to racial equity and inclusion are also highly valued.
