Ryan is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Legal Counsel, Property Tax to join our award-winning team in Dallas. This role offers a hybrid work option, generous personal time off benefits, and many other perks. As a member of the Legal Department, you will have the opportunity to utilize your legal expertise to support the Firm’s various legal matters, with a focus on contract review, drafting, and negotiation. If you have a Juris Doctor Degree and at least 5 years of related experience, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal expertise to other departments as needed.
- Review, revise, and negotiate client engagement agreements and vendor agreements.
- Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically.
- Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action.
- Identify proactive solutions to eliminate or mitigate risks.
- Manage outside counsel services for bankruptcy, collections, and litigation matters.
- Meet KPIs established for the Legal Department.
- Review and approve material contracts.
- Prepare business contracts and handle other legal matters.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for the Firm.
- Assist with client-related bankruptcy issues.
- Review and negotiate IT-related documents.
- Facilitate meetings and negotiations.
- Review outside legal counsel invoices.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 5 years of related experience in a similar environment.
- Applicable license to practice law.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LMS, WebEx, Outlook, and internet navigation/research.
- Membership to the American Bar Association and Association of Corporate Counsel preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
