Summary:

This role is responsible for developing and implementing the company's labor strategy, serving as a liaison between the company and union representatives, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor laws. The ideal candidate will have experience in bargaining, working with union leaders and business agents, and navigating complex labor relations issues in a creative and innovative culture. This is a remote-eligible position, with a salary range of $156,340 to $220,440 and a bonus potential of 20%.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement labor relations strategies that align with business objectives
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and union representatives
Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor laws
Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and dispute resolution
Provide guidance and training on labor relations issues to management and HR teams
Conduct internal investigations related to workplace misconduct and discrimination
Advise on disciplinary actions, terminations, and performance management
Monitor labor law trends and propose policy updates
Train managers and HR teams on best practices in employee relations and labor law compliance
Assist in drafting employment contracts and agreements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a related field; JD preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor relations, preferably within the entertainment, recreation or hospitality industries
Previous in-house counsel experience or working with unionized workforces
Familiarity with employment litigation and administrative agency proceedings
Proven track record of developing and executing labor relations strategies
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements and compliance requirements
Excellent communication, advocacy and drafting skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to navigate labor relations issues with a collaborative approach and remain calm under pressure
