KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with all aspects of commercial litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and attending court hearings
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and other litigation events
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Provide excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships
Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients regarding case progress and strategy
Research and analyze legal issues and provide written and oral recommendations to attorneys
Maintain organized and accurate case files and documents

Spencer Fane, a leading law firm in Santa Monica, CA, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to work with a top law firm and gain valuable experience in the field of commercial litigation.
As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of commercial litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and attending court hearings. You will also collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies, and prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and other litigation events.
To be considered for this position, you must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record and be admitted to the California bar. Additionally, you should have 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong background in real estate or commercial construction litigation. Candidates with previous experience advocating for clients in a law firm setting will be given preference.

We offer a competitive salary of $175,000 to $190,000, plus variable compensation for individual production.
