Job Description:

The Talent Department of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a talented and experienced Talent Data Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, transforming, and visualizing data to provide reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for firm leadership. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful insights using scripting and machine learning tools. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python, with the ability to develop impactful dashboards and provide data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to analyze key business metrics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights
- Use Python for data analysis, automation, and advanced modeling
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and optimization
- Integrate machine learning tools to support predictive analytics
- Provide actionable insights based on in-depth data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency
- Develop automated reporting processes using Microsoft 365 office platforms
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
- Support decision-making processes by providing clear, actionable insights
- Develop and implement predictive models to forecast trends
- Create and maintain documentation for data sources, methodologies, and processes used to create reports and visualizations

Qualifications:

- Four-year college degree required, equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business intelligence and/or data analytic roles
- Law firm or professional services firm experience a plus
- Proficient in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
- Expert-level SQL skills (joins, window functions, performing tuning)
- Strong Python experience (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile) for data visualization and dashboarding
- Minimum of two years of experience with T-SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Ability to produce clear and concise business documentation
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into easily understandable visualizations
- Proficiency in data visualization best practices and design principles
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and database management is a plus
- Knowledge of data related programming languages (Python, R, platform, Boomi) and additional BI tools is a plus
- Experience with Azure Data Services / Azure Fabric is a plus
- Experience with UKG is a plus
- Experience with systems specific to the Legal Industry, such as Aderant Expert and Intapp Time are a plus
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft M365 and/or related software
- Ability to leverage expertise in data visualization and analysis to transform complex datasets into actionable insights
- Ability to work independently, under time constraints, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility with work assignments
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Salary Information:

The anticipated base salary for this position is $82,400 to $90,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
