Job Responsibilities:
- Handle a substantial caseload involving civil litigation and insurance defense litigation in a variety of areas, including general liability, products liability, premises liability, and more
- Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and prepare written discovery and dispositive motions
- Take depositions of parties, experts and other witnesses
- Review client documents and draft case evaluations and status report correspondence
- Participate in trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances up to and including trial
- Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-8 years' general Insurance Defense experience
- Trial experience preferred
- Must be licensed to practice in Nevada State and federal district courts
- Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills
