The Employee Relations Manager at Amazon is responsible for ensuring fair and respectful treatment of employees in the North American Field Operations organizations. This includes supporting multiple business lines, analyzing feedback and data, and designing and delivering workplace relations training. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and handle crisis situations under time constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Detect and mitigate risks through employee and labor relations expertise
• Manage crisis situations with excellent judgment
• Independently lead large-scale projects to improve employee experience
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for workplace programs
• Communicate effectively through written and verbal communication
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence change
• Problem solve independently in ambiguous situations
• Launch and manage sustainable mechanisms for entire networks
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 3 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or call center locations
• Understanding of provincial employment and labor laws
• Experience designing and delivering training programs
• Technical proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree, JD, or specialized training in labor/employee relations
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Interpersonal and persuasion skills to work with senior leaders and across organizational lines
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
• Bias for action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High-quality judgment and decision-making abilities
• Strong project and time management skills
• Innovative and not satisfied with status quo
