Assistant General Corporate Counsel — Wealth Management, Personal Trust and Investments Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The role involves providing legal support to the Law Division’s Wealth Management & Investment Services team, focusing on **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s personal trust and investment management accounts. Key responsibilities include:

- Interpreting and assessing laws and regulations relevant to personal trust and investments business lines, covering a wide array of state laws, OCC regulations, IRS codes, and SEC laws/regulations.
- Advising on the development and management of trust and investment management accounts and products, including assisting with business line offerings, structure, governance, and resolving account-level and business line issues.
- Supporting business lines with document drafting, process development, and business line controls to address business objectives and legal requirements.
- Engaging in contract review and negotiation as needed.
- Assisting in assessing risk and regulatory matters impacting personal trust and investments business lines and collaborating with Bank partners on such matters.
- Working in a team environment with Law Division colleagues, business line clients, and support partners such as Risk and Compliance.

Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must be licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other relevant state attorney licensing authority.
- Preferred candidates will have eight to ten years of legal experience advising clients on personal trust administration, investment/wealth management, or related legal practice.
- Experience advising on compliance with state and federal regulations and laws is preferred.
- Experience representing financial institutions’ wealth management businesses, corporate trustees, or related experience with banking and/or securities regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of trust and/or wealth management products and services, including asset management, is beneficial.
- Candidates should have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to client service.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this role, based on the primary location, is $149, - $175, - $193,.
