Harris Beach Murtha is currently seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team in the Hartford, CT office. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a forward-thinking and innovative law firm with over 250 years of combined history. We are looking for a talented individual with at least 3 years of experience in business or employment-based immigration, and a strong commitment to providing top-notch legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of various business-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including forms preparation and supporting documentation
- Directly representing clients before government agencies
- Review and approval of client petitions, applications, and evidence for submission to agencies
- Assisting health care clients with specialized immigration needs, such as Schedule A Nurse petitions and J-1 waiver applications
- Providing guidance on I-9 and E-Verify compliance for clients

Requirements:

- Admittance to the Connecticut Bar or admitted to practice law in another state
- 3+ years of experience in business or employment-based immigration with a high-volume practice
- Superior writing and editing skills, particularly for complex support letters (writing sample required)
- Knowledge of foreign languages (Arabic, Portuguese, Romanian, Mandarin, or Polish) is a plus, but not required
