As a Content Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating content for the firm's marketing and business development efforts. Working closely with the Business Development, Communications, and Marketing and Branding Technology teams, as well as firm and practice group leaders, you will produce impactful print and digital content to inform both internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities:

- Draft and edit practice and industry content for the firm's website,
- Create "About the Firm" content for both print and digital formats
- Support lateral recruiting efforts by developing materials
- Generate editorial content for the firm's social media channels, with a focus on LinkedIn
- Contribute to significant thought leadership projects, such as surveys and white papers
- Write firm descriptions for use in list/directory ads, such as firm profiles in Vault and Chambers
- Promote recent client successes through internal good news e-mails
- Create firm news and collaboration case studies for the website
- Submit entries for significant firm and lawyer awards
- Develop marketing materials, including brochures and one-pagers
- Craft firm advertising copy
- Collaborate with the Recruiting and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams on strategic projects, such as the DEI microsite and recruiting materials
- Work with the Communications team to promote client successes and other notable developments
- Partner with the Branding and Marketing Technology team to translate content into visually impactful digital and print pieces

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications
- 5-7 years of experience in law firm communications, business development, marketing, public relations, or media newsroom
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of AP writing style
- Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and vendors
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in one or more areas: journalism, public relations/public affairs, digital communications, or internal communications
- Ability to research various topics and translate knowledge into strategic written collateral
- Comfortable making presentations to small and large groups
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Understanding of digital customer journeys and SEO strategy preferred
- Ability to track and evaluate analytics for communication efforts
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
