The **** (IJ) offers a unique opportunity for select law students to participate in our Semester Clerkship program. As a semester clerk, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on our cutting-edge civil-rights litigation. Our clerks conduct legal research, assist in developing litigation strategies, and help draft motions and briefs for both state and federal court cases.
Salary Information:
- Paid opportunities available for students working in our Virginia, Texas, Florida, or Arizona offices
- Unpaid remote clerkships also available

H2: Gain Valuable Experience and Make a Difference in Civil-Rights Litigation
Experience Information:
- Researching appellate court treatment of FTCA actions to support United States Supreme Court merits briefing
- Participating in moots for dispositive-motion hearings
- Analyzing discovery objections in a civil forfeiture class action lawsuit
- Assessing how to certify a new class and add new plaintiffs to an existing class action
- Developing litigation strategies for potential challenges to licensing requirements
- Helping prepare motions to exclude expert witness testimony and reports
- Drafting portions of opposition briefs for motions to dismiss and for summary judgment
As a semester clerk at IJ, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of projects. Our clerks have been involved in researching appellate court treatment of FTCA actions, participating in moots for dispositive-motion hearings, analyzing discovery objections, and helping develop litigation strategies for potential challenges to licensing requirements.
