Job Title: Cloud Email Security Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, report, and respond to email security solutions and incidents to maintain a secure email environment.
- Manage and administer email security measures, including email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam, virus, and content filtering, URL rewriting, and attachment scanning.
- Oversee messaging systems with a focus on Microsoft Cloud offerings such as Exchange Online, MS Exchange Online Archiving, Exchange Online Protection, Conditional Access Policies, and Teams integrations.
- Create and execute solutions implementation plans for email security.
- Troubleshoot system issues and conduct problem analysis to achieve resolution.
- Document procedures and standards for different audiences to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Develop and implement access, monitoring, control, and documentation strategies.
- Provide metrics for service utilization to offer actionable data.
- Participate in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan to ensure readiness.
- Monitor and implement email security measures for inbound, outbound, and partner email solutions.
- Consistently monitor, report, and resolve email security incidents.
- Perform incident response tasks as required by customer reports, information security reports, and email security reports.
- Provide Proofpoint Email Security Solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Recommend strategies and approaches for addressing new and developing email security risks.
- Identify, track, and respond to email security threat vectors.
- Offer 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities.
- Provide subject matter expertise support to the Help Desk and end users.
- Collaborate and partner with IT groups to promote efficient and secure services.
- Participate in after-hours on-call duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Interact comfortably with firm leaders through presentations or one-on-one contact.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in engineering within a large messaging system environment, with at least 4 years’ experience in cloud-based messaging solutions.
- At least 4 years’ experience supporting a large international email environment.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft M365, Proofpoint, or other email security-related certifications.
- Previous experience in a law firm is highly desired.
- Direct experience managing and developing email hygiene solutions, with Proofpoint solutions experience considered a bonus.
- Critical participation in enterprise-sized migration projects is essential.
- Significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms, including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus, and antimalware.
Technology:
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is necessary.
- Demonstrated knowledge of email archiving standards and procedures, with a focus on Exchange online archiving.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure-based tools.
- Understanding of DNS solutions such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, with a focus on Exchange Online.
