Location: New York, NY

Aon is seeking a Managing Director to join their M&A and Transaction Advisory Solutions practice in New York. This role will involve leading and executing due diligence projects for clients in the private equity and corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property and casualty insurance, project management, and strategic and analytical skills. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional looking to join a global team and work with high-profile clients in the M&A industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead due diligence projects of varying complexity.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to develop findings and solutions.
- Analyze insurance coverage, claims history, and other related areas.
- Identify transaction issues and work with third-party advisors to find resolution.
- Build and maintain relationships with ongoing clients and convert due diligence targets to ongoing clients.
- Act as a mentor and thought leader within the M&A practice.
- Prepare spreadsheets, proposals, and presentations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Some travel may be required.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong technical proficiency in property and casualty insurance, with knowledge of specialty insurance including property, casualty, cyber, E&O, financial lines, environmental, and group captives.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting.
- Project management skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to develop relationships and build trust with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Broker's license.
- 15+ years of insurance experience preferred.

Preferred Experience:

- CPCU certification is a plus.
- MBA, CPA, or JD is a plus.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
