Job Description:

- The Paralegal will report to the Associate General Counsel of Lactalis American Group and will be based in Chicago, IL.
- The role will involve working closely with the Associate General Counsel and the Lead Counsel for Labor and Employment to support all legal work for Lactalis USA.
- The Paralegal will also assist with corporate governance documents and legal projects for all divisions within Lactalis USA.
- The position will involve fielding initial questions from stakeholders, drafting agreements, and coordinating legal projects.
- The Paralegal will also be responsible for preparing documents in response to personnel file requests, subpoenas, and administrative agency charges.
- The role may also involve supporting compliance-related tasks and identifying potential process improvements.
- The ideal candidate will have a degree and at least 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in the CPG industry.
- A Paralegal certificate is a plus but not necessary.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
- The candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and have excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well in a team and maintain confidentiality is also important.
