Our firm is dedicated to advocating for tenants facing substandard living conditions, wrongful evictions, and other habitability violations under California and federal law.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Law and Motion Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and drafting high-quality legal briefs, arguing motions in court, and supporting litigation strategies through written advocacy. You will also collaborate with trial attorneys to shape case strategies and legal theories, and assist in preparing discovery responses, evidentiary motions, and trial briefs. Additionally, you will stay informed on evolving landlord-tenant laws and contribute to legal training within the firm.

To be successful in this role, you must have a . from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar. You should also have at least 2 years of experience in motion practice, legal research, and writing, as well as strong written advocacy skills. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, civil procedure, and appellate practice is preferred, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently is also important.

Preferred qualifications for this position include prior experience in public interest, tenant rights, or housing law, as well as appellate litigation experience.
