Our Marketing and Business Development (M&BD) team is looking for a Marketing and Business Development Specialist to support our Litigation, Arbitration & Employment (LAE) Americas Practice in our Washington, ., Philadelphia, Northern Virginia, or New York office.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Marketing and Business Development Specialist for the LAE Practice, you will work closely with our litigation lawyers to plan and execute marketing and business development activities. Your responsibilities will include:
Business Development
- Supporting partners in managing client development programs, including pitches, identifying new business opportunities, and internal marketing for cross-selling opportunities.
- Becoming knowledgeable in commercial litigation, including appellate, securities, M&A, financial services, and insurance disputes.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and reporting of strategic plans and budgets.
- Conducting research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to aid in marketing and pitch strategies.
- Staying updated on industry, legal, and business publications for potential promotional opportunities.
Marketing
- Managing submissions to major ranking and award programs for the practice.
- Supporting marketing and business development efforts through profile-building, thought leadership, and other promotional initiatives.
- Creating and updating marketing collateral, including web content, brochures, and biographies.
- Collaborating with other practice groups and offices to share knowledge and best practices.
- Identifying and coordinating participation in events to support business development objectives.
- Participating in the firm's Global Citizenship program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in client and business development, including pitch and proposal development.
- Strong client service orientation and ability to think critically.
- Pragmatic, diplomatic, and resourceful with the ability to adapt to different situations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with marketing AI applications is a plus.
HOURS AND SALARY
This is a full-time position with core hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 . to 6:00 . with occasional flexibility for additional hours and travel. The annualized salary range for this position is $79,000 to $119,000, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus and the firm's fringe benefits.
