The role of a finance midlevel associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is a highly sought-after position in our New York office. As a leading international law firm, we are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and we are looking for a highly qualified midlevel associate to join our finance practice group. This position offers a salary range of $225,000 to $435,000, with additional benefits and potential for growth within the firm.

The ideal candidate for this role will have between four to five years of law firm experience in a finance-based practice. This includes experience in leveraged finance, cash flow transactions, or representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and/or other private or public corporations in borrower side finance transactions. The candidate must also possess excellent academic credentials and be a member of the New York bar.

As a midlevel associate in our finance practice group, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including leveraged finance, asset-based lending, and acquisition finance transactions, among others. They will also have the opportunity to work with various types of clients, including private equity firms, financial institutions, and corporations, providing a diverse and challenging work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a variety of finance-based matters, including leveraged finance, asset-based lending, and acquisition finance transactions.
• Represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as other private or public corporations, in borrower side finance transactions.
• Provide top-notch legal services to clients while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the successful completion of projects and matters.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and apply them in practice.
• Assist with the training and development of junior associates and staff.

Qualifications:

• Between four to five years of law firm experience in a finance-based practice.
• Experience in leveraged finance, cash flow transactions, or representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and/or other private or public corporations in borrower side finance transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Member of the New York bar.
