Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will include professionalism, confidentiality, excellent client communications, and service, as well as excellent skills to support attorneys, staff, and Firm Managers. Must have a high level of computer proficiency including MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Clio, and general online research skills. Must be able to efficiently draft letters, and prepare drafts of legal documents, and client correspondence. Must be able to efficiently coordinate meetings and client appointments. Excellent time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong proofreading skills are required. Must be able to open, organize, and maintain client files while managing and meeting numerous deadlines for attorneys, clients, court, creditor periods, accountings, estate taxes, and fiduciary taxes. Must be able to account for and input all billable time into the timekeeping system for billings. Must be driven, positive, and able to work in a team environment consistently and effectively, as well as independently. Prefer a legal assistant with 2+ years of experience in Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, and Business Law. College degree preferred. Paralegal certification is not required. Must be NC notary or eligible to be NC notary. Should have High school or equivalent. Should have 1 year of Microsoft Office.
