JOB SUMMARY:
The Litigation Attorney will represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in various legal areas, including commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation. The role involves appearing in state and federal courts for both routine and contested hearings, developing case strategies, drafting necessary documents, and conducting settlement negotiations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a caseload of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
- Appear in court to argue motions essential for the successful completion of foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, HOA/COA disputes, and other related matters.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and resolve cases.
- Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
- Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree, licensed in Texas, and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant civil litigation, motion practice, and courtroom experience, with 5 years preferred.
- Experience in default mortgage servicing and probate is a plus.
- Knowledge of Texas Mortgage Foreclosure Law and the Texas Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
- Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property is beneficial.
- General practitioners seeking larger-firm experience are encouraged to apply.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands for this role include frequently sitting, talking, or hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms, and stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment consists of normal office conditions, with a quiet to moderate noise level.

Salary Description
$95,000-$110,000 annually with relevant experience.
